Washington Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

Washington State University
Washington State University’s College of Business features an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with concentrations in marketing, international business, and finance. Marketing majors, who must complete nine credits to fulfill the marketing concentration, will explore a range of topics, including advertising, consumer behavior, and international marketing. Graduate students without a bachelor’s degree in business may be required to take a series of foundation courses, offered online in five weeks sessions, which generally take seven months or less to complete. Prospective students can attend live webinars and ask questions about the MBA program or can view recorded webinars on the College of Business’s webpage.

Western Washington University
Western Washington University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program takes two years to complete with the first year focused on core business courses and the second year dedicated to fulfilling concentration requirements. Successful applicants possess an undergraduate degree in business or have some professional work experience. MBA students who concentrate in marketing will complete 12 credits from such offerings as integrated marketing communication, branding, innovation, project management, and business intelligence. All MBA students are required to complete a 100 hour minimum field experience which could be an internship, a consulting project for an organization, or paid employment. Field experiences allow students to put their skills to work in the real world and the course culminates in a three to five page paper analyzing the experience and what the student learned.

Washington Marketing Undergraduate Degree Programs

University of Washington
The University of Washington confers the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BABA) in Marketing. Undergraduates can only apply to the marketing major once they have been accepted into the Foster School of Business’s business program. The marketing major requires students to complete two core courses (marketing research and consumer behavior) in addition to three marketing electives, such as business-to-business marketing, entrepreneurial marketing, and multicultural marketing and business development. Marketing majors are required to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in upper division classes or face academic probation. Students can participate in short and long-term study abroad opportunities and many become involved with on-campus student organizations: the American Marketing Association, the Advertising Club, the Business Ethics Association, and the Entrepreneurship Club.

Washington Eastern Washington University
Eastern Washington University offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing to students who want to pursue a career in marketing or to build the necessary foundation for graduate school. Marketing majors must complete core business courses in addition to required marketing courses and electives. Required marketing courses cover marketing analysis, marketing management, buyer behavior, and marketing research. Students can apply for acceptance to the business department and the marketing major once they have completed 45 credits and provided they maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA in required business courses.
