Utah Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

Brigham Young University
Brigham Young’s Marriott School of Business awards the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing major to students who successfully complete the two year program. MBA students spend the first year of the program fulfilling core business requirements: leadership, marketing management, and managerial accounting. The second year allows students to choose electives and concentrate exclusively on their major. All incoming MBA students will be placed in one of three groups of 55 students. The three groups are then divided into teams of five, each of whom will work together throughout the program. While not required, MBA students are encouraged to spend the summer before their second year interning at a company to obtain real world experience.

Strayer University
Strayer University affords students the convenience of earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing concentration at their Sandy campus, exclusively online, or through a mix of online and on campus courses. The graduate program requires students to complete 54 credits, including 40.5 credits in core business courses and 13.5 credits in marketing classes. Each course is worth 4.5 credits and students will complete a total 12 courses to fulfill degree requirements. Marketing coursework encompasses consumer behavior, marketing research, integrated marketing, and integrated marketing communications. Full-time students generally complete their degree in a year and a half or less while part-time students typically finish in three years.

Utah Marketing Undergraduate Degree Programs

Southern Utah University
Southern Utah University features a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing for students who want to pursue a career in marketing or who want to develop the necessary foundation to move on to graduate school. Marketing majors will take pre-business core courses – accounting, macroeconomics, statistics, and business law, for example – before being permitted to take courses in the marketing major. All marketing majors must successfully pass three core courses: market research, consumer behavior, and marketing management. The Business Department hosts the Wells Fargo Executive Speaker Series, which all business majors are encouraged to attend. Departmental scholarships are available to eligible students who have completed their core general education requirements. Students may also be eligible for university-wide scholarships.

Westminster College
Westminster College’s Gore School of Business allows undergraduate business majors to choose between a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Studies with a marketing concentration or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Studies with a marketing concentration. Students in the BS program must complete between 74 and 76 credit hours to fulfill their major requirements while those in the BA program will take 82 to 84 credit hours. All students must complete 124 credits, earned from general college and business department requirements, to graduate. Students working toward a BA with a marketing concentration must, unlike the BS program, declare a minor in an area other than business and study a foreign language.

Schools with Marketing Degree Programs in Utah

Brigham Young University
Provo, UT 84602

Student Review: “The marketing program at BYU was great. First, the marketing program is part of the Marriott School of Management, which is the 12th ranked undergraduate business school in the country. Because of this, they recruit the best possible professors who have real life, legitimate marketing experience. They really prepare you and tell you what to expect in the field, not just what the text book says is a reality. Professors in the school have a tight knit network of successful businessmen and marketers from companies like Coke, Nike, Google, and Amazon. They’re able to pull some strings and invite you into that network from time to time, which makes for a great recruitment program.” – student at Brigham Young University
