Louisiana Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

University of New Orleans
The University of New Orleans offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing with graduate students focusing on such topics as real estate finance and marketing feasibility, technology and marketing, and services in marketing. Graduate students generally complete a three-credit internship, requiring them to work 10 hours a week during the 15 week semester in the fall and spring and 15 hours a week in the shortened summer semester. A summer abroad program, “The Know Europe Summer Program,” takes MBA students, who earn six credits for participating, to Belgium, France, Holland, and Spain where they will sit in on lectures and get hands-on business experience. MBA students may be eligible for a graduate assistantship in the Business Department, provided they maintained a minimum 2.75 GPA in their undergraduate studies, possess a minimum GMAT score of 450, and are enrolled in at least nine credits.

Tulane University
Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business’s full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program allows students to choose from concentrations in marketing, finance, or strategic management and leadership. The MBA program requires students to complete 61 credits, which typically takes 22 months of intense study and coursework. Graduate students will choose six marketing courses, out of seven currently offered, to complete the concentration: negotiations, marketing research, consumer behavior, brand promotion, international marketing, sales management, and competing for customers and capital. MBA students attend classes, generally held in the mornings and afternoons, Monday through Thursday with Fridays set aside for special events and programs. Louisiana Marketing Undergraduate Degree Programs

Louisiana State University
Undergraduate students at Louisiana State University must complete 120 credits to earn the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing. The program generally takes four years with students completing five classes a semester. Marketing majors take general college coursework (communication, math, humanities, and natural sciences) in addition to marketing courses and electives, such as business law, brand management, and product management. Students generally complete an internship in their junior or senior year; eligibility begins one a student completes 60 credits. A 100 hour internship is worth three credits with 150 hours holding a six credit value. Marketing majors may get involved in the campus community, joining Mu Kappa Tau (an honor society) and Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional club for marketing, sales, and management students.

Southeastern Louisiana University
Southeastern Louisiana University confers the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Marketing, allowing students to choose from one of three marketing concentrations: ecommerce, general marketing, and advertising and integrated marketing communications. The Department of Marketing and Supply Management encourages students to intern, with recent marketing majors landing internships at Verizon Wireless, Habitat for Humanity, and North Oaks Hospital.
