Idaho Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

Idaho State University
Idaho State University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing concentration is open only to those students who do not have an undergraduate degree in marketing. The marketing concentration requires students to take three marketing courses and to attend daytime classes at the Pocatello campus. The MBA program is divided into two sections: MBA 1 Core Courses, worth 22 credits and MBA 2 Core Courses, worth 24 credits. Graduate students in the marketing concentration will take an additional three courses of marketing electives, worth nine credits. Assistantships may be available for eligible full-time students and consist of a 20-hour work week in exchange for a stipend, tuition reimbursement, and medical coverage. The College of Business is home to Bengal Consulting, which hires MBA students for part-time consulting positions.

American Intercontinental University
American Intercontinental University affords graduate students the opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing concentration entirely online. All graduate students will complete four core courses toward their MBA (business research for decision making, a managerial approach to marketing, strategic management, and global financial management) in addition to four required marketing courses (international marketing, product and brand management, research methods in marketing, and strategic marketing). AIU provides a wealth of resources to students considering online learning, including a tour of the university’s virtual campus. MBA students are encouraged to get to know their classmates through classroom discussions as well as by joining the university’s virtual communities on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Idaho Marketing Undergraduate Degree Programs

University of Idaho
The University of Idaho’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing program provides students, through a combination of classroom and hands-on learning experiences, an opportunity to build a foundation for a successful career in marketing or to continue on to graduate study. Junior marketing majors will participate in the Integrated Business Curriculum, a program that spans a year during which business students work together to solve problems for organizations including Coldwater Creek, Starbucks, and Boeing. Marketing majors may also get involved in the university’s VIEW Entrepreneurship Program or Vandal Solutions, the latter of which is a student-run non-profit that assists local businesses by conducting market research, feasibility studies, and by implementing mystery shopping programs.

Boise State University
Boise State University’s Department of Marketing and Finance awards the Bachelor of Science (BS) in marketing to students who successfully complete the 120 credit undergraduate program. The program is a combination of required college courses encompassing liberal arts topics (math, communication, science, and literature) and core marketing courses. Marketing majors must take a full spectrum of business courses, including accounting, economics, and management. Marketing majors generally intern at local companies and must work 45 hours for each credit earned. Once marketing majors have reached their junior year, they are assigned advisors within the Department of Marketing and Finance, with whom they will work until graduation.

Lewis-Clark State College
At Lewis-Clark State College, students can pursue a minor in marketing that provides a foundation in the fundamentals of marketing concepts, practices, and issues. Available marketing courses include Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Promotion Methods, and Retail Marketing. Students can join the Business Student Organization (BSO) to find networking opportunities in the business community. Lewis-Clark State College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
