Columbia University
Marketing students at the Columbia Business School complete a rigorous academic curriculum with a world-renowned faculty. New York University
Undergraduate marketing students at New York University’s Stern School of Business have the unique benefit of their central location in Manhattan and proximity to some of the world’s most renowned business leaders. Stern marketing majors complete a 16-credit program including three required courses (Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Research) and six marketing electives. Elective courses include Marketing Hi-Tech Products, International Marketing Management, Marketing Financial Services, Broadcast Management, Entertainment Law, Entertainment Marketing, Internet Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Globalization of the Entertainment Industry. Marketing majors also have the option of choosing one of seven focus areas to specialize in: Advertising and Promotion, Brand Management, The EMT Concentration, Financial Services Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Research, or Marketing Consulting. The EMT (“entertainment, media, and communications technology”) focus provides a unique opportunity to learn media and entertainment skills in the context of a business degree. Marketing students generally begin their major in their sophomore year and complete their elective requirements in their senior year.

Cornell University
Undergraduate students at Cornell with an interest in marketing can opt to major in Applied Economics and Management (AEM) with a specialization in marketing. AEM majors follow a flexible course of study in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and earn a Bachelor of Science upon successful completion of their studies. Since the Charles H. Dyson School is housed by Cornell’s School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, AEM majors have the unique opportunity to combine their business majors with dual degrees in the life sciences, environmental sciences, or applied social sciences. The AEM program equips students with practical and applied economic and management skills that will help them think critically about significant social issues and economic problems in the global business world.
