The entry requirements in terms of GMAT aren’t the highest, but rest assured you will be working hard once you start. The professors have PhD’s from solid universities and have been active on various consulting projects. Be prepared to do a lot of public speaking! You will be doing case study after case study and presenting your strategies in a classroom environment. The program is also closely tied in with area businesses and there are many alumni in the city. Anheuser Busch has donated a lot of money to the school and has very close ties to the classes. I attended several courses where senior management came in to discuss a marketing situation their company faced and the action plans they decided upon, and then opened it to comment. Student Review: “The marketing program at Washington University in St Louis is one of the best in the country. Although it is one of the “soft” majors in the business school, you learn a lot about how products are developed and marketed to different market segments. Sociology and psychology are seamlessly incorporated into the curriculum along with some fairly complex math. The curriculum was challenging but not impossible, and every professor had real world marketing experience to back up their academic history; they knew what is was like to work in today’s world and what being in marketing requires.
