Alaska Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

Kaplan University
Alaskan residents can earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing concentration entirely online through Kaplan University. Graduate students will complete 76 credits, with 16 credits in the marketing concentration. Each required marketing course is four credits: advertising, marketing research, sales force management, and marketing psychology. The remaining courses will focus on business with the program culminating with the capstone course. The capstone course requires MBA students to work on team projects, complete case analysis, and incorporate the skills they’ve learned in the program to solve problems. Kaplan offers a limited number of scholarships to eligible students, and current and former military members are eligible for a tuition discount at the university.

Ashworth College
Ashworth College provides graduate students with the opportunity to earn a M.S. in Marketing entirely online. Semesters typically run either six months or one year long with the program requiring three semesters for completion. All students must enroll in a mandatory orientation course, which helps prepare them for online study and to learn more about their career options in marketing. Students do not earn credit for the orientation. The curriculum covers a diverse offering of marketing courses: marketing management, consumer behavior, business law, public relations, and ethics in marketing. The M.S. in Marketing program ends with a capstone course, in which graduate students gain a deeper understanding of strategic management. Ashworth College offers payment plans to keep the cost of earning a degree affordable for students.

Alaska Marketing Undergraduate Degree Programs

University of Alaska Southeast
The University of Alaska Southeast confers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a marketing emphasis at its Juneau campus and online for students outside of Alaska. Graduates of the program typically secure marketing-related employment, start their own businesses, or continue on to graduate study. BBA students will complete 35 general education credits toward the 120 credit graduation requirement, 64 to 70 credits in business, and an additional 15 credits in marketing. Marketing courses cover buyer behavior, communications, service marketing, and retail management. Students may also join one of the many clubs on campus that will expose them to Alaskan life and culture, such as Wooch.een, a leadership club; the Model United Nations; and the Global Connections Club.

Capella University
Capella University affords undergraduate students the convenience of earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a marketing specialization exclusively online. The 180 credit undergraduate program allows students to transfer up to 135 credits from another university. Undergraduate students must complete general core courses in addition to business and core courses in a wide range of marketing topics, including consumer behavior and marketing strategy. The BBA in Marketing generally takes four years to complete with an estimated 79 percent of students finishing their degree on time. Applicants may be eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the university.
