Alabama Marketing Graduate Degree Programs

University of Alabama
The University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate School of Business awards the Master of Science (MS) in Marketing in one of three concentrations: marketing analytics, marketing management, and professional sales. The 30 credit program generally takes nine months to complete, and six of the overall credits are earned during an internship. Successful applicants to the program do not have to have an undergraduate degree in marketing. Students in the marketing analytics concentration will focus on such courses as marketing analysis, statistical data management, and data mining while marketing management coursework covers services marketing, product development, and professional sales. The professional sales concentration includes strategic logistics management and professional sales. All M.S. in Marketing students, regardless of their concentration, will work on client-based projects and take a survey of marketing course.

Kaplan University
Kaplan University affords graduate students the convenience of earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a marketing concentration exclusively online. The 76 credit program requires graduate students to complete 16 credits in the marketing concentration. The four required marketing courses – advertising, consumer behavior, marketing research, and sales force management – are each worth four credits. The remaining credits encompass core business courses, such as strategic management, financial management, and marketing management. All MBA students round out their graduate studies with a capstone course, in which they compile a portfolio highlighting the expertise they’ve acquired during graduate study. Auburn University
Auburn University’s College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing degree for undergraduates who want to pursue a career in marketing or who plan to move on to graduate study. The marketing major requires students to complete a menu of core general college requirements during the freshmen and sophomore years before predominately focusing on marketing in the junior and senior years. The marketing major encompasses a full marketing curriculum exploring such topics as internet marketing, green marketing, real estate marketing, personal selling, and marketing strategy. Marketing majors typically complete an internship in their junior or senior year, provided they meet eligibility requirements, including maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. All prospective interns are required to read a departmental syllabus that will detail what to expect from interning and how an internship may or may not lead to a job offer and development of skills.

Alabama A&M University
Alabama A&M University features a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing and allows students to concentrate their marketing degree in international business. The 120 credit program generally takes four years to complete provided students take five classes a semester. Marketing majors will focus on completing general college requirements in math, science, English, and golf or tennis, during their first two years in the program.
